Windows will reboot at the end of the installation. (for USB Installs, leave the install CD in your CD drive and proceed to 5.0)
If this is a PCMCIA or USB installation check the check the appropriate radio button.
Note: for ECG Systems only - when the setup program asks for the IRQ, use the defaulted values unless installing a PCI/ISA card. In this situation refer to procedure outlined in (Figure 12) in the Appendix
5.0 For USB Installs only, after the PC reboots, plug USB CardioCardâ„¢ into an open USB port on your computer. Do not allow Windows to select a driver automatically. Select Install from a list or specific location. Click next. Then select do not search, I will choose the driver to install. Click "Next". Click "Have Disk". Click "Browse". Go to your CD drive and select FTD2xx driver. Click "Open". Click "Ok". (the driver is not a special signed driver).Click Next. Click Continue Anyway (no win logo is needed). The install puts an FTD USB driver in your device manager under USB devices.
6.0 If application will not start up after installation giving the error message "cannot load giveio.sys", the network of firewall is blocking the program. Contact your network manager. Common causes are the user does not have"kernel mode" rights to run the hardware driver or the firewall is set so strictly that the CARDWIN.exe program is not being allowed to execute. This program must be included in your firewall's list of allowed programs or made less strict.
